So yeah.. It's over. It was a great experience but now I'm happy to be home. But let me tell you about my last week.

On Monday we we were chilling with some friends because it was their last day in Malta. So we went in a restaurant together and had a happy "goodbye". We were also sleeping really early because everyone of us was really tired.
On Tuesday we decided to go to "Café del Mar" which is a pool directly in front of the sea. So we had to take a cab and we drove for half an hour (so we almost passed the whole island from the right to the left). It wasn't that nice weather but we could still enjoy it because it was so beautiful and so calm. We were there for 4-5 hours.

On Wednesday it was a normal day. We slept in the morning and in the afternoon we visited Mdina which was the capital of Malta a few years ago. we heard that everything is lighted there so we were pretty amazed and with much anticipation. But when we arrived there it was not that beautiful like I expected. It's true that many things are lighted, like the church, the streets, every restaurants, and so on, but that was everything. And then, the city is really small we were through it in 15 minutes. So we just went to a restaurant and ate something for dinner. Afterwards we left Mdina and we had to say goodbye to our mexican friend because she went to Italy for a few days so we couldn't see her again.
On Thursday we just went to school in the morning and in the afternoon I slept so I was fit for the evening when I went out with some friends.
On Friday I had to say goodbye to all my friends because I couldn't see them again. It was a great time with them but I was really looking forward to see my family and friends at home so it wasn't that hard.
On Saturday me and Louis had to change the apartment because we made a mistake when we booked the flight. The flight was at Sunday but we just booked the apartment until Saturday. So we searched the other apartment and we realized that this apartment was better than the apartment we had for the last 5 weeks. So we just stayed the whole day in this apartment.
On Sunday we could finally take our flight to Switzerland and I was happy about it.
I really enjoyed the five weeks in Malta but after these I had enough of it. But I can really recommend Malta for holidays or a language stay, especially for young people because there is a lot of party. But there are also cities for people who don't like parties like Valletta or Mdina. I'm sure that I will go back to Malta one day.

Now i have time to reflect a bit the whole stay:
First of all, everything was interesting because it was different from my normal day in Switzerland. For example the school was really funny and also a bit easy, because there were many students which couldn't speak English very good . And also the teacher didn't really care about us when we were too late or something like this. Every Tuesday and Thursday we had morning lessons with a lot of speaking and every Monday, Wednesday an Friday we had grammar in afternoon lessons. Both teacher were funny, made jokes and so on. But I have to say that I learned more about the language when I was out with friends from other countries. I think in five weeks you can't learn that much about vocabulary and grammar. The biggest thing I learned was maybe speaking more fluently but maybe with some grammar mistakes.
Once in school I was speaking with a Colombian guy about the minimum wage in Switzerland and Colombia. He almost cried when I told him about ours. In a way that was funny but I also felt a bit stupid when I laughed.:')
There are many differences between Malta and Switzerland. Especially the driving style... First of all you have to drive left like in England. But everyone drives really crazy! When we were in our first cab we were afraid because he drove in slalom around the other cars. Also with 30 km/h too fast.
Another difference is obviously that Malta is an island so you coud always see the sea and there are more rocks than green lawn. That was a bit new for me because I was never so near to a sea for such a long time.
But now I miss a bit the prices of food and other things... In Malta you could go out with 10 euros in the evening and you could have enough. Here in Switzerland that isn't possible. Also in restaurants, you could go with 20 euros and you got a starter a main meal and something to drink.
But the thing I really, really miss a lot is the temperature. When I entered the plane in Malta there were 28 degrees outside. But when I left the plane in Switzerland there were 8 degrees and it was raining so it was a big shock for me.:'D

Hey! So my last week starts now. I'm a bit sad because there are so many things which I want to do here in this week, I don't know if I can handle this!! But lets talk first about the last week. It was a really funny week.
On Monday after school I made a small shopping tour with a few friends and I bought a typical touristic shirt. It's just a grey shirt with the sign of Malta but I love it! I bought also a few other things like souvenirs because the language stay is almost over and I haven't bought anything for my family and friends yet.
The next day, so Tuesday, I had school in the morning but I was a bit tired because I went out the last evening. But I was lucky because we did some stuff like "what's special in the country you come from". So it was comfortable and I told them a bit from Switzerland like the Swiss wrestling. In the afternoon until the evening I visited some friends in their apartment and we chilled there for the rest of the day.

Wednesday I spent the free time with talking with my family. We skyped so I could see all my siblings what was very cool because I miss them. 

On Thursday we thought we must make party a bit because everyone really wanted to. So after school we went again to the apartment of my friends and yes.. We made party. It was really cool we played some beer pong and other drinking games. Then we watched a bit TV before wen went out in a club.

Friday and Saturday were exactly the same! It's funny because we woke up nearly the same time, we ate in the same restaurant and in the evening we were first a bit in an apartment and then in a club. It was really exactly the same process except that I had school on Friday.

On the last day of the week we went to the casino. It was really cool because I played the whole evening Blackjack and for some time I was winning. But I should have stopped then because after this I lost everything and I went out of the casino without the 50 Euros I started with. But it was still a good evening because we went again in a club afterwards and met some friends.

The problem of going to the clubs every night is that I'm very tired now, so I need to sleep now. Bye!;)

Last week was again very relaxing! I spent much time in my bed because I was too lazy to do anything.

Especially at Monday I was sleeping the whole afternoon because I was still tired from the blue lagoon.

Tuesday I was at the beach and I played some football with my friends. But there wasn't that much space so we had to look out that we don't kick the ball in the face of someone. A friend from the Netherlands once just shot too hard and another one wanted to catch the ball. He catched it but during the catch he realized that he was falling on the back of a man.:') He was not very amused. But in the end we could enjoy the day at the beach.

On Wednesday I stayed at home after school because some friends came to my apartment and we were talking to each other while we were drinking comfortably a beer. It is very funny sometimes because normally you speak English with everyone but sometimes you hear a bit Dutch here, a bit French there and so on. I really like it because in almost every discussion every nationality has a different point of view.

Thursday we could play football with the school. It was a 5vs5 match which we could sign in a few days before. It was very cool to play with them and in the end we could win 5:3. I saw that I can sign in every week to play a match like this so maybe I will do it again.

Friday was just a normal Friday because I went to school, I ate something in a restaurant with Louis and then we went out with our friends. Like almost everytime when we're out we met some new people and talked a bit to them. 

Saturday a few friends went to Comino to visit again the blue lagoon, but I stayed at home to walk a bit around in St. Julians, I shopped a bit and in the evening we visited again a few clubs.
Sunday I chilled a bit at my apartment because I was tired because of the weekend. Than we decided to play lasertag. We played a long time but I was always very bad.:'D

This week was a bit more relaxing than the last one because we were not partying so much. The first day (monday, 26. september) I slept until lunchtime and in the afternoon I went to school and then back home. That was my monday.
Tuesday and wednesday were a bit more interesting because I slept, went to school AND I went out to watch the Champions League with a few friends. We found a cool bar where we can watch comfortably the matches with one or two beer.
Thursday was again the birthday of a friend here and we wanted to celebrate it a bit. So we went first to the same bar as the day before to watch the Europe League and then we left the bar to make some party in the clubs.
We came home really late so I was a bit tired on friday but that wasn't a problem because i could sleep until 12 o'clock.
The weekend was pretty cool cause on saturday I was a bit shopping and just living in the day and in the evening some of us went to the beach to make a barbecue there which was really nice.

Then on sunday I had to stay up early because we made a trip to Comino which is a neighbour island from Malta. There is the "Blue Lagoon" which is probably the most beautiful lagoon I've ever seen. The water there was so clear you could see everything below. But the coolest thing was that there were cliffs and me and my friends just jumped in the sea from them. It was crazy!

Welcome to my little blog where i post some pictures and also write about my life during the language stay in St. Julians, Malta.
I'm here for one week now and I like it very much. I arrived last saturday in the night and i went directly in my bed because i was really tired. On sunday me and my friend Louis Zimmermann went outside to see something from St. Julians. We saw many things like restaurants, bars and supermarkets. And there are also two beaches two minutes away from our apartment. One is a shingle beach and the other is a rocky beach.

Of course there are also many partys here in Malta. Especially in Paceville because that's the partystreet of St. Julians. My apartment is directly above all the clubs.
On monday the school started and we had a welcome dinner in the evening. This was very cool because I met other people from different countries. The school is really okay we speak a lot and learn something about Malta. There are also many activities we can join like trips to other islands or cities and we can even play paintball with the school.
On wednesday we had the whole day free time because it was the independance day of Malta. So I spent the whole day at the beach. In the evenings I always meet friends and we go out together or just make a comfortable evening.

On saturday (24.09.) we made a trip to Valletta. Valletta is the capital of Malta and it is very beautiful. We were there for the whole day walking around and make some pictures.
A little strange was that we saw a german group filming a tv show. We asked them what they do and one of them said that the winner of this show gets 1 million euros.
For lunch we thought we could eat something more special, so i ordered a swordfish. It was delicious. I've never eaten such a good fish!
